Ingredients:
1 box Barilla Mini Penne Pasta
3 Massel Stock Cubes
2 175g packs KR Middle Rasher Rindless Bacon (diced)
1 teaspoon Minced Garlic
2 small Onions (diced)
500ml Pura Thickened Cream
80g Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1 knob Lurpak Butter
1/4 - 1/2 cup Millel Grated Parmesan Cheese
Millel Shaved Parmesan Cheese
Cooking Instructions:
While the penne pasta is cooking in the stock flavoured water continue with the following method.
In a second large stockpot fry the bacon, onion and garlic until the onion is tender.
Add the cream and simmer gently to reduce.
Closer to the pasta being ready add to melt the philly cream cheese.
Just before ready to serve add the grated parmesan cheese.
ADD THE PASTA TO THE SAUCE because you will not use all the pasta and you will have the sauce to pasta consistency you will enjoy. If done the opposite way you will have a rather dry Carbonara.
Spoon into serving bowls and sprinkle with the grated parmesan cheese.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve with buttered crusty rolls.
